NEW SERIES STARTING JANUARY 8, 2017:
My Life, My Church
Key Passage: Luke 10
God has related to us through His Son Jesus Christ. This relationship spans all relationships. In fact, this relationship is meant to serve as the energizing source and the ultimate aim of all we do. Christ said the greatest two commandments were to love the Lord God and love our neighbor. All other commands flow from these and teach us how to do these. While living for Christ is not easy, the concept of all out surrendered love is simple. Our desire is this 3-week series is to take a close look at these 2 commands as they play out in 3 key relationships – with Christ, with those who know Christ, and with those who do not yet know Christ.
Our approach each week is two-fold. First, we want to look individually at our own lives in light of these key relationships and consider how we might better relate in all 3 this year. Next we want to take a closer look at our church – where we have been – and where we can go to better love God and our neighbor.
One main theme will be to focus on slowing down to prioritize these key relationships. Busyness today is often the enemy of what we hold dear.
